A little bit of history....

Another picture heavy post! Today me and my Mama were sorting through our attic - there is a LOT of stuff up there. We came across some suitcases filled with some of my Grandma's glamorous wardrobe. The suitcases are amazing, and so were the dresses. We even found her wedding dress which was so elegant and beautiful. It was amazing to see all these things that have been stored away so long. The wedding dress is from 1934 and the evening dresses were from the 1950s and 1960s. We also found some furs - a couple of stoles and a full length coat. Later on we also found loads of photographs, and the best part for me was finding love letters from my Grandad to my Grandma before they got married - from the early 30s, and also one from just after my Grandma gave birth to my uncle. It was honestly one of the best days to find these precious things which I will hold dear forever! Its really true that you can't put money on things like this which hold so much sentimental value. Here are some photos from my day!

New Camera

Hello all :)

I'm not quite sure what came over me a few days ago but I succumbed to the hype surrounding to iPhone 4 and got myself one, mainly for the camera and the iPod. I love it so much (despite claiming it was ugly and horrible to anyone that would listen for a good few weeks!).

I absolutely love the camera, I am so happy with it and thought I would post a few shots to show you what it can do! These were taken on my way to and from work yesterday! They are using an app called Hipstamatic which emulates retro cameras, you can choose between lenses and film etc and the effects are endless. I love my Diana camera but it is so hard to use - when I develop rolls it often turns out that half of the roll is completely black! I won't give up on it but at least with this camera I can have a good play around and see exactly what I've been shooting!
