♥ Turkey ♥

Hi ^-^
I have just got back from a girlie holiday with my best friend to Antalya in Turkey. We had the best time and didn't want to come home... The weather was so warm and I am definitely suffering from post holiday blues at the moment...here are some shots from our week of fun.

Handbags

Hey!
How are you?
I haven't posted in ages, I'm not sure why, I have been quite busy and just haven't been motivated to take any outfit shots or anything...
I've been in my new job for about a month now, and I eat, breathe and dream handbags. I've been scouring the new season collections and there are so many beautiful bags that the rich and fortunate will be sporting over the coming months. The prices are crazy as we all know, but it doesn't hurt to covet a particular one (or two, or three, or four...)
My favourites are definitely the entire debut from The Row, and the new Chanel Boy bag collection.

The Row are a fairly young label, and are renowned for their extreme attention and dedication to quality and detail. This is of course the justification for the (hefty) price tag that comes with purchasing a product from their line. The debut of their handbag line came with a media buzz, and everyone has been talking about one product in particular - the crocodile back pack which is retailing for $39,000 - somewhere similar to the amount Hermes can command! Yes to 99% of us this may seem crazy to say the least but for the lucky 1% of people that can afford it - why not. And if reports are to be believed, a couple of these bags have already been ordered. I love the entire collection, I believe that if you can't afford a new high end bag every season, but have the opportunity to invest in a designer bag at some point in your life, you should go for a good quality, classic simple bag, that won't date and is not designed to the specification of passing seasonal trends. A bag from The Row will be a classic that will never date, and you won't have to worry about the quality, as you know you will get the very best from them.

The Chanel Boy bag collection is different and androgynous and to be honest, makes a nice change from some of their seasonal (failures) that quickly look outdated and slightly ridiculous out of context from a mile long runway surrounded by Chanel clothing and models. I reckon they are an absolute new classic and are beautiful. About two years ago I was in the Chanel boutique in New Bond Street, and talking to an acquaintance who worked there, and she told me about the price rises Chanel had implemented on handbags (I don't know if this applied to all Chanel product, but it was definitely the handbags at least). Whilst I was looking around for info on this new collection, I see that a lot of people have commented that in June of this year Chanel once again hiked their handbag prices up by 20%. So it seems this is an annual or biannual occurrence? Which for those people who are patiently saving up their Chanel Bag Fund is another blow in the face - lets add on another two years til we can afford it! It just makes the brand even more out of reach - apparently these bags will retail between $2-$4,000. However at least they are still cheaper than a Hermes.... ;)

What do you think about these bags?

IWantCute.com Contact Lenses Review

Hey girls!
Today I want to show you the lenses I bought from IWantCute.com
They cost me around £14, and I went for a light blue colour. It was free postage and they arrived within two or three days.
My eyes are naturally light bluey grey, and I thought these would be a lot lighter than they turned out to be, so in fact they make my eyes look a much darker blue. I guess thats the perils of buying online though, you're never sure of the colour you're going to get.
I've never worn contact lenses or glasses in my life, I bought these purely for fun, with the goal of making my eyes look bigger from wearing them, so I'm not too bothered about the colour.
It took me about 4 or 5 tries to get the contacts in, but once they were in they felt comfortable and I could see perfectly.
I love the effect they give! My eyes definitely looked bigger and darker, but not crazily so - my family didn't really notice I had them in until I told them, so its quite subtle.
I've been wanting to write about these for a few weeks but I just hate taking close up shots of my face so I struggled with getting pictures. However if you are interested in seeing better comparisons of contact lenses please go and have a look at Moments Like Diamonds who aside from having an amazing blog has several contact reviews with great photos to see.
You can see my eyes without contacts just about, here (I seem to be wearing sunglasses in most of my outfit shots..do I detect a complex about photographing my eyes!?)
But here is the only shots of me with them in that I dare to showyou, I think its pretty obvious once you know!
I think it would be comfortable to wear them for about 4/5 hours at any one time. They can last a pretty long time as long as you have contact solution to store them in.

Do any of you wear coloured or enlarging contacts?
